An unforgettable winter break adventure on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas and exploring the magic of Disney World and Kennedy Space Center.

I was at school on Wednesday, waiting for the day to be over, so that my winter break could end. Generally, school ended on Friday, but me and my family were going on a trip to Disney World and the Bahamas, so we were leaving two days early!!! I know, that's pretty awesome.

The first night, we stayed in a hotel nearby the ship, because we were waiting for my dad to join us from Charlotte, North Carolina. The next day, after we got on the ship, my sister, Manasi, and I explored the ship thoroughly.

There was a stage in the middle where they did performances and other stuff. There was also a huge pool and hot tub in the middle. On the side of ship, there were these stairs that lead to these two awesome waterslides that went around the ship!

Also, one of the floors, there was a room that only kids/teens were allowed to be in and play in. We went there once and there were so many games to play there! Also, there were multiple restaurants on each floor. On the first day, as the ship was setting sail, there was this celebration/dance thing they did on the stage with Mickey Mouse.

That day in the evening, there was a mini-concert in one of the huge rooms on the ship, where a lady played songs on her violin. Every day, when we came back to our room after going somewhere on the ship, the people who cleaned our room always made something cool out of the towels lying on the bed. For example, one of the days, they made a realistic-looking duck out of the white towels. Another day, they gave each of these red pirate bandanas.

Also, every day for lunch and dinner, we got to go to different-themed restaurants. In one of them is where I first got introduced the most-awesome tasting cake to me, opera cake! Our waiters were also sooo nice. Since they knew that I loved opera cake, even if the restaurants didn't serve opera cake, they would run to the other restaurants and get it for me!

The day when we got the pirate bandanas, there was also a short play on the stage about Jack Sparrow, the main character in the really famous Pirates of the Caribbean movies. At the end, when the bad guys were about to get him, he held onto a rope and jumped down from the top deck onto the stage!

The day after that, I believe, we landed in the Bahamas. It reminded of Hawaii a little (probably because of the humid weather). We explored the area for some time, and then we climbed these rocky stairs and reached a shopping area.

Next to the mini-shops, there was an old castle that I think the English used to live in. Right next to it was an old canon that we got to sit on. Obviously, it had no gunpowder. We played in that area for sometime before leaving.

Before we got on the ship, we passed by another set of shops and got to get this wheel that said Bahamas 2017 Nassau Tanushri and Manasi. The cool thing about it was that, the man carved it from wood right in front of us! We also got this cool blue and white wind chime that was very expensive and delicate.

After we left the Bahamas, we visited a place called Castaway Cay on our way back to Florida. We got to go biking there, and later snorkeling in the beach.

I'm pretty sure it was on our last day on the cruise ship that we went to the movie theater and watched Coco! Even though it was kind of sad, its a REALLY good movie.

After we landed back in Florida, we visited Disney World. I used to think that Disneyland was the best. Then I saw Universal Studios, and I thought that was best. Then I went to Disney World, and it's even more awesome!!! In Disney World, there are 4 different parts, the Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.

We went on a lot of rides in each one, so if I try to explain every ride, this blog is going to go on forever. So let me sum it up. Out of the four parks, my favorite was Animal Kingdom. Hollywood Studios didn't really have many rides, and Magic Kingdom is pretty babyish. Epcot to me is really boring.

In Animal Kingdom, I thought all the tree and animal decorations around the park were cool. There was also the new ride, Avatar, which was like the number one attraction there. To get on the ride though, we had to wait in a THREE HOUR line. But the three minute ride at the end was definitely worth the wait.

The ride was a virtual reality ride with the avatar people. We got to wear these goggles and got to go with the avatar people through their world. They basically summed up the whole movie in a three minute ride. We also sat in a rocking chair and got sprayed with water, so that it felt like we were in their world.

After that, we visited Kennedy Space Center where we got to see artifacts from practically all of US's important space voyages. I learned that there was a spaceship called Challenger that had a disastrous trip, exploding only 73 seconds into its flight, killing all the seven members aboard. Sad. :((

Kennedy Space Center

My sister and I each got our own magnets with a rocket on it, showing that we've been to the Kennedy Space Center.

When we returned back to California, it was the day of Christmas Eve. Phew! I'm glad I didn't miss Christmas! To all of you guys who are reading this during Christmas time, Merry Christmas and also, Happy Hanukkah! See you later in one of my other blogs!
